This hydraulic control unit is a key part of the ABS/traction control system. It is needed to keep braking stable on wet roads, gravel, or during sudden stops. The unit manages brake fluid pressure to each wheel, helping prevent lock-up and keeping steering control.
How It Works ⚙️
Inside the block are precision solenoid valves and fluid channels. When wheel speed sensors detect a skid, the ECU commands the valves to hold, release, or re-apply pressure in rapid pulses. This “pressure cycling” keeps the tire rotating instead of sliding, improving control and stopping performance.
Why Replacement Matters 🔧

Braking may still work, but without anti-lock protection you can experience wheel lock, longer stopping distance, or pulling under hard braking.
