With mileage, the piston and seals wear, letting fluid bypass internally. That causes long pedal travel, a sinking pedal at lights, and uneven braking. Replacing the piston refreshes the master without swapping the whole assembly—smart, cost-effective maintenance.
How it works ⚙️
When you press the pedal, the pushrod drives this piston forward. The primary and secondary seals close the ports, build hydraulic pressure, and send fluid to the circuits. A return spring pulls the piston back, reopening compensation ports for quick release and clean re-priming.
What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️
