Rear Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor for precise braking
This sensor monitors the left rear wheel speed and keeps your anti-lock braking system working at its best. In tough pickup duty—mud, rain, load or trailer—accurate wheel data is vital for safe stopping and stable control.
Why you need it ✅
ABS and traction control rely on this unit to compare wheel speeds and prevent lock-up. With a healthy sensor, the ECU can modulate brake pressure and maintain steering during hard or slippery stops.
How it works ⚙️
A magnetic/Hall element reads the tone ring on the hub, generating rapid pulses that the ECU converts into real-time wheel speed. The module then balances brake force across the axle and coordinates with stability functions.
What happens if it’s broken ⚠️
ABS light on, traction disabled, longer stopping on wet roads, possible rear wheel lock, low‑speed ABS chatter, erratic speed readouts, and stored fault codes. Braking still works, but safety margins shrink—especially on slick surfaces ️.
Build & install notes ️
Direct-fit, left rear position. Sealed connector, corrosion‑resistant body, and OE-style bracket for correct air gap. Clean the mounting boss, inspect the tone ring, route the harness in factory clips, and avoid twisting the cable during tightening.
