Rear Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor for Mitsubishi
This sensor is essential for safe braking. It feeds wheel speed data to the ABS/ASC/EBD systems, so the car can prevent lock-up, keep traction, and stay stable on wet or rough roads. A fresh unit restores short, straight stops and accurate stability control, just like the factory intended.
How it works βοΈ
Mounted at the rear left hub, the active magnetic pickup reads the toothed ring (tone wheel) as it turns. It converts pulses into a clean digital signal and sends it to the ABS module. The computer then modulates brake pressure in milliseconds and shares speed info with traction control and the speedometer.
What happens if itβs bad
Common signs: ABS and traction lights on, speedometer drop-outs at low speeds, longer stopping distance on gravel, and stability control disabled. You may notice wheel lock in hard braking and uneven brake action. Driving is possible, but safety is reduced and tires can wear faster.
Install tips
Direct-fit, plug-and-play. Clean rust from the tone ring, route the harness away from heat and moving parts, apply anti-seize to the mounting bolt, check sensor-to-ring gap, then clear fault codes and road-test.
