This rear-left wheel speed sensor feeds the ABS, traction control, and stability systems with precise wheel rotation data. How it works ⚙️
The sensor reads the toothed ring on the hub using a magnetic/Hall element, creating a clean pulse signal. The control unit compares all wheels and modulates brake pressure when it detects slip. This OEM-style unit has the right air gap, sealed plug, and harness length for a plug‑and‑play fit, resisting water, salt, and heat.
When it fails ⚠️
ABS and traction lights turn on, ABS stops working, and wheels can lock under hard braking. You may feel low‑speed ABS chatter, longer stopping distance, or reduced stability in curves. Fault codes for rear-left speed sensor often appear. Ignoring it risks uneven braking and faster pad wear.
Tech tips
