    Rear Brake Caliper Seal Kit

    Why this part is needed

    This kit restores safe hydraulic sealing in the rear caliper. It stops brake fluid leaks, rebuilds firm pedal feel, and protects the piston from dirt and water. Use it when you see wet calipers, uneven pad wear, or a spongy pedal after heavy use or off‑road driving.

    How it works

    Inner pressure seals hold brake fluid under high pressure so the piston moves smoothly and pushes pads evenly. Outer dust boots shield the piston and bore from grit and splash. Guide pin bellows keep slides free so both pads contact the rotor equally. Fresh EPDM rubber resists heat, DOT 3/4 fluid, and ozone for long life.

    What happens if seals are bad

    Leaks lower line pressure, causing longer stops and soft pedal. Dust‑torn boots let rust form, the piston sticks, pads drag, rotors overheat, and fuel use rises. In severe cases the caliper can seize or lose fluid, reducing braking power ⚠️.

    Tech notes

    Clean caliper bore, inspect piston, lube slides with high‑temp silicone, and bleed with fresh fluid. Torque hardware to spec.
