    Mitsubishi Front Brake Caliper Support Bracket

    This bracket is the rigid base that holds the front disc brake caliper. You need it to keep the caliper and pads aligned to the rotor, so braking force is straight, quiet, and repeatable. A tight, true bracket stops vibration, prevents uneven pad wear, and keeps pedal feel firm. Built from hardened steel with anti-corrosion coating, it is designed for daily use and heavy heat cycles.

    How it works ️

    The bracket bolts to the steering knuckle and carries the guide pins. The caliper slides on these pins so pads can clamp the rotor evenly. Correct geometry keeps pad-to-rotor clearance small and stable, improving bite, reducing noise, and spreading load across the disc. With proper torque and clean slides, braking stays smooth and consistent.

    What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️

    Cracks, bent ears, seized pins, or worn pad seats cause squeal, pulling, hot spots, steering shake, and longer stopping distance. Pads may drag and overheat the rotor, or stick and lose braking power. Ignore it, and you risk warped rotors, ABS activation under light braking, and costly hub or knuckle damage.

    Service notes

    Replace in pairs when possible. Clean hub/knuckle faces, torque mounting bolts to spec, use high‑temp silicone grease on slide pins, and bed new pads/rotors. This OEM-fit bracket restores factory braking safety and feel.
