Why you need it
Over time, brake shoes wear and the gap grows. Without automatic adjustment, you get long pedal travel, soft response, and uneven rear braking. A fresh adjuster maintains the spec clearance so the system remains responsive and safe in daily driving and towing.
How it works
A threaded screw with a star wheel expands or retracts the shoes. Each reverse/brake cycle the lever ratchets the wheel a click, compensating for wear. This LH unit is designed for the left rear drum, matching the lever orientation and thread direction. Light lubrication on the threads ensures smooth, repeatable action.
