    Premium Steering Rack Housing Bushing

    This precision bushing secures the steering rack in its cradle and keeps the gear centered under load. It absorbs road shocks, cuts vibration, and locks the rack in the correct position for sharp, quiet steering. Replacing a tired mount restores factory steering feel and protects tires from uneven wear.

    Why you need it ⚠️

    Rubber ages, hardens, and cracks from heat, oil, and road salt. When the mount loosens, the rack shifts in corners and over bumps. You get clunks, play in the wheel, wandering on the highway, and slower return-to-center.

    How it works ⚙️

    An elastomer sleeve sits between the rack tube and subframe bracket. It cushions impacts and resists twist as you turn. By holding the rack steady, the pinion and tie rods move precisely, so inputs translate directly to the road.

    If it’s worn or broken

    Expect metallic knocks, crooked steering, uneven tire edges, and extra load on inner tie rods. Left ignored, misalignment grows and other steering parts fail early.
