Steering Tie Rod Assembly for Toyota SUVs

This steering linkage part keeps your front wheels pointed exactly where you command. It links the rack-and-pinion to the steering knuckle, holds the toe angle stable, and delivers crisp road feel. Choose this OE-grade assembly for safe handling, even tire wear, and a quiet, tight front end.

Why it’s needed ️

Toe accuracy protects your tires and stability. A fresh tie rod restores straight-line tracking, reduces shake on rough roads, and brings back factory steering response after impacts, potholes, or high mileage.

How it works

The inner threaded section allows alignment adjustment. The outer ball stud pivots inside a hardened seat while the sealed boot holds high-moly grease. Together they transfer steering force smoothly as the suspension moves up and down.

When worn or broken ⚠️

  • Play in steering, wander, or pull
  • Clunks over bumps, shimmy at speed
  • Feathered or rapid tire wear
  • Off-center wheel, poor return to center
  • Severe wear can cause loss of steering control

Tech notes

Install in pairs when possible, torque to spec, fit new cotter pin, and finish with a 4-wheel alignment. Inspect boots at every service; any split boot or rust means replace soon.
