Why this part is needed
Without a healthy pitman arm, the steering system cannot transfer torque from the gearbox to the linkage. It maintains correct toe geometry, road feedback, and predictable return-to-center β vital on highways and trails.
How it works
The arm clamps to the steering box output via splines and a lock nut. Its outer end seats on the center/drag link through a tapered stud and castle nut. Every turn of the wheel rotates the gearbox shaft; the arm converts that rotation into precise side motion that moves both wheels together.
What happens if itβs worn or broken
