Steering Column Main Shaft Assembly
Why this part is needed

How it works
The assembly uses precision splines and universal joints to transfer motion at changing angles. A collapsible section is designed to compress in a crash for safety. What happens if it’s broken
Symptoms include clunking over bumps, steering play, vibration in the wheel, stiffness or binding when turning, and delayed response. Severe wear can cause loss of directional control—dangerous at speed or on trails. Ignoring noise or looseness can also damage the steering gear input.
