Premium Steering Sliding Yoke with Coupling

Why this part is needed

This assembly links the steering column to the steering rack, keeping the wheel feel tight and precise. Its sliding section allows length changes as the body and frame flex, while the coupling absorbs road shocks. The result is smooth control, less vibration, and secure tracking at speed ️.

How it works

A splined telescopic shaft transfers torque from the column. The coupling joint (U-joint style) maintains rotation through angles without binding. Clamp bolts lock the splines, and grease plus anti-corrosion coating keep movement free. Designed to be a direct bolt-in with factory geometry for accurate alignment of the steering axis.

What happens if it’s broken

Wear or rust causes play and clunking, off-center steering, and vibration. Sticking slides can make the wheel heavy or jerky. Excess looseness increases stopping distance, tire wear, and, in severe cases, loss of steering control. Common signs: knock over bumps, imprecise tracking, crooked wheel, or visible joint backlash.
