    Intermediate Steering Shaft for Confident Control

    This precision-built link connects the steering column to the steering gearbox, delivering your hand input to the wheels with zero delay. It’s needed to keep steering tight, quiet, and safe—especially on heavy 4x4s that see rough roads and off‑road use.

    Why You Need It

    Over time, U-joints dry out, splines wear, and the slip section corrodes. That creates play, clunks, and vibration in the wheel. A fresh shaft restores crisp steering feel, straight tracking, and confidence at highway speed.

    How It Works

    The assembly uses splined yokes and needle-bearing U-joints to transmit torque at angles. A telescopic slip tube allows length change with body/frame movement and acts as a collapsible safety feature. Corrosion-resistant coatings and tight tolerances keep movement smooth and precise.

    If It Fails

    • Clunk or knock when turning over bumps

    Install Notes

    Direct bolt-on. Align marks on splines, set wheel straight, and torque pinch bolts to spec. Do not hammer the yokes; use penetrant and proper pullers.
