Why This Part Is Needed
Over time, constant pressing, heat, and steering wheel movement can wear the internal contacts or loosen the return action. When that happens, the horn may stop working or work only sometimes.
How It Works
When you press the center pad/button, it pushes a contact plate against the horn switch circuit. That completes the electrical path to the horn relay, allowing current to reach the horn units. Good spring tension helps the button return smoothly after every press.
