Why this part is needed
This pump creates the hydraulic pressure that makes your steering wheel light and easy. It reduces effort at parking speeds, keeps steering quiet, and protects the steering rack. A healthy pump gives stable assist, smooth feel, and longer life for the whole system.
How it works
An engine-driven pulley spins a rotor with sliding vanes inside an oval chamber. As the rotor turns, vanes draw fluid in, then compress it and send pressurized fluid to the steering gear. A flow/relief valve controls pressure so you get assist when needed without harsh kickback.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
