Vane Power Steering Pump for Toyota Vans

This OEM‑quality, direct‑fit replacement restores smooth, light steering in your trusty van. Built to OE tolerances, it delivers stable hydraulic pressure to the steering gear so parking and low‑speed turns stay effortless, precise, and quiet. Durable bearings and a corrosion‑resistant housing ensure long service life in city or fleet use.

Why this part is needed

Over time, vanes, bushings, and seals wear out. Pressure and flow drop, fluid aerates, and the steering wheel gets heavy—especially at idle or with A/C on. Replacing the unit protects the rack, keeps belts happy, and restores confidence in tight maneuvers.

How it works ⚙️

The pulley drives a rotor with sliding vanes inside an oval chamber. As it spins, fluid is drawn from the reservoir and compressed, then sent under controlled pressure to the rack. An internal relief valve limits peak pressure; precision clearances keep output stable and quiet.

If the pump is failing ⚠️

Signs include stiff steering, whining or groaning on turns, shimmering (metal) in fluid, foamy reservoir, and leaks at the front seal. Driving like this overheats fluid, wears the rack and belt, and can lead to sudden loss of assist—dangerous when parking or towing.

Tech notes

Always flush lines and reservoir, use the correct ATF/spec, replace O‑rings, align the pulley, and bleed air with wheels raised. Recheck fluid level and belt tension after a short road test.
