Rear Left Brake Wheel Cylinder Assembly ️

This hydraulic brake component is needed to convert brake fluid pressure into mechanical force at the rear drum brake on the left side. It helps keep stopping power stable, especially when the vehicle is loaded or towing.

How It Works

When you press the brake pedal, fluid pressure enters the cylinder body and pushes two internal pistons outward. These pistons spread the brake shoes against the drum surface, creating friction and slowing the wheel. Rubber seals hold pressure, and the bleeder port allows proper air removal during service.

Signs of Failure & What Happens If It Breaks ⚠️

If the cylinder leaks or sticks, braking becomes uneven and unsafe. Common symptoms include a soft pedal, pulling to one side, longer stopping distance, brake fluid loss, or rear drums getting contaminated with fluid. Left unchecked, it can cause shoe glazing, overheated drums, and near-total rear brake loss.

Why Replace It in Time ✅

A fresh unit restores correct hydraulic balance, improves pedal feel, and protects shoes and drums from fluid damage—saving money on bigger brake repairs.
