Why you need it ️
Without a tight, undamaged cap, contaminants enter the hub and dilute the grease. Corrosion starts, heat rises, and bearings wear quickly, leading to noise and costly repairs.
How it works
This press‑fit steel cap seats in the hub bore. Its formed rim maintains a secure interference fit to seal the grease cavity while withstanding vibration and temperature cycles. Fitment is the same for right or left side.
If the cap is damaged or missing ⚠️
Expect greasy splatter on the inner wheel, humming or grinding at speed, play in the hub, uneven rotor heat, and eventually bearing failure or seized hub on the trail.
Install tips ✅
Clean the hub seat, apply a light film of grease on the rim, align square, and tap in evenly with a soft mallet—do not dent the crown. Replace any distorted or loose cap immediately.
