This precision seal keeps bearing grease inside the rear hub and blocks water, dust, and road grit. It sits between the axle shaft and hub/bearing housing, using a metal case, elastomer lip, and a spring-loaded edge to maintain pressure on the rotating surface. The result: clean lubrication, stable preload, and long bearing life.
Why you need it β
Without a healthy seal, grease escapes and contaminants enter. This leads to noisy bearings, heat build-up, and costly repairs. A fresh seal protects the rear hub, brakes, and axle ends, especially on SUVs that face mud, rain, and towing stress.
How it works βοΈ
The inner lip rides on the axle journal, tracking slight run-out while the garter spring holds even contact. The outer shell locks into the hub bore. Together they form a tight barrier that keeps grease in and moisture out during every wheel rotation.
