This part is used in the fuel system to keep fuel pressure at the correct level for the injectors. Modern engines need steady pressure to deliver the right fuel amount at every load and RPM. When pressure is controlled properly, you get smoother idle, cleaner acceleration, and better fuel economy.
How It Works
Inside the regulator, a spring-and-diaphragm (or internal control valve, depending on build) balances fuel rail pressure and returns excess fuel back to the tank/return line. It reacts fast to engine demand so the injectors spray consistently, preventing rich or lean running.
