Upper Front Differential Mount Stopper — Secure, Quiet, and True

This stopper supports the front differential at the top point, locking it in position under engine torque. It keeps the diff aligned with the driveshafts, cuts vibration, and protects CV joints during hard starts, towing, or off‑road use. Built for tough 4x4 duty, it combines a reinforced inner sleeve with a high‑durometer elastomer to control twist while absorbing noise and harshness.

Why you need it

Without a healthy upper stopper, the differential can rotate in its cradle. That causes clunks, driveline shake, and premature wear of mounts, axles, and bushings. This part keeps geometry correct, making steering feel tight and acceleration smooth.

How it works ⚙️

The bracket clamps an elastomer block around the diff ear. Under load, the rubber compresses, limiting movement and isolating vibration. The steel sleeve carries bolt torque, so alignment stays precise even on washboard trails.

If it’s worn or broken

  • Clunk on throttle on/off, especially in 4WD
  • Shudder under load, increased NVH in cabin
  • CV boot tearing, seal leaks, or pinion angle issues
  • Metal-to-metal knock over bumps

Install tips

  • Support diff, align at ride height, then torque
  • Inspect lower mounts and crossmember at same time
  • Recheck fasteners after first 100 km of use

Compatibility

  • Land Cruiser
