Upper Rear Differential Mount Stopper
This driveline stopper is fitted above the rear differential area to control unwanted movement under load. Itโs a small part with a big job: keeping the differential housing stable so power transfers smoothly to the wheels ?.
Why this part is needed
When you accelerate, brake, or shift from drive to reverse, the rear differential tries to twist. This stopper limits that twist, protecting mounts, bushings, and the driveline angles. It also helps reduce clunks and vibration in the cabin.
How it works
The stopper acts like a controlled โlimitโ for differential travel. As torque loads the rear end, it contacts and cushions movement, keeping the assembly aligned. Proper alignment means less stress on the prop shaft, CV joints, and rear suspension links ?.
What happens if itโs worn or broken
