Why this part is needed
This tuned damper keeps engine and gearbox vibrations out of the cabin. It lowers boom, buzz, and harshness, protects nearby brackets, and helps mounts, shifter, and steering last longer. Fewer vibrations mean smoother driving, quieter rides, and less stress on body panels and fasteners
How it works
It is a tuned mass on a rubber-elastic core. Bolted to the subframe or transmission mount area, it targets a narrow frequency band where the powertrain resonates. When the engine shakes, the weight moves out of phase, absorbing energy and turning it into tiny heat in the rubber. The result: cleaner NVH and stable idle and cruise.
What happens if it fails
