Rear Suspension Spring Lower Pad (Rubber Isolator)

This compact rubber seat lives under the rear coil spring in Mitsubishi rear suspension. It stops metal-to-metal contact, centers the coil, and helps keep ride height correct. Without it, the arm and spring rub, noise grows, and geometry can shift.

Why you need it βœ…

- Reduces vibration and road roar (NVH).
- Spreads load to protect the spring seat.
- Prevents paint wear and corrosion on the coil and perch.
- Keeps the coil indexed in the right position for proper handling.

How it works βš™οΈ

A durable elastomer pad with locator tabs locks into the lower arm. The end of the coil rests on a molded step. Under bumps, the pad compresses to absorb shock, then rebounds, preserving alignment and comfort.

If the pad is damaged ❗

Expect clunks on bumps, squeaks, harsher ride, uneven rear height, unstable cornering, and faster wear of springs, bushings, and tires. A torn pad can let the coil move and score the seat, inviting rust.

Tech tip

Replace in pairs, align the spring β€œtail” to the stop on the pad, and torque suspension fasteners at normal ride height.
