Front Knuckle Grease Seal for Nissan 4x4 Axles ️

This OE-style steering knuckle flange seal keeps the swivel housing grease where it belongs and blocks mud, water, and dust from the front axle. Built for hard off-road use, it protects CV joints and king pin/knuckle bearings so your Nissan 4x4 tracks straight and steers smooth .

Why this part is needed βœ…

Without a tight knuckle seal, grease seeps out and contaminants creep in. That accelerates wear on the CV joint, trunnion bearings, and hub components. A fresh, correctly sized seal maintains lubrication, reduces friction, and extends service intervals.

How it works

A spring-lipped nitrile/fluoro rubber runs on the knuckle flange surface, clamped by a rigid ring. As the wheels steer and the axle articulates, the lip maintains constant pressure, retaining semi-fluid swivel grease and wiping away grit. It’s a dynamic barrier designed for repeated steering cycles.

If the seal is damaged ⚠️

You’ll see grease streaks on the knuckle, damp dirt buildup, steering shimmy, and premature bearing noise. Water ingress can pit the CV, create play at the knuckle, and contaminate hub greaseβ€”leading to costly front axle repairs and poor brake feel.

Tech tip

Inspect the flange surface for grooves, verify preload on king pin bearings, pack the swivel with the correct grease, and torque fasteners to spec. Replace in pairs for even wear.
