Left Front Lower Control Arm Assembly

This key suspension link anchors the wheel hub to the chassis and keeps alignment steady under braking, cornering, and off‑road hits. You need it to hold camber/caster angles so the tire stays flat on the road, delivering stable steering, even tire wear, and safe braking .

How it works

The arm is a sturdy lever with two rubber bushings at the frame and a sealed ball joint at the knuckle. The bushings allow controlled pivot while filtering vibration, and the ball joint lets the wheel move up/down without shifting sideways. Together with shock/strut and stabilizer link, it manages loads and keeps geometry true.

If the arm is worn or bent

Expect clunks over bumps, steering pull, shaky wheel at speed, and fast inner/outer tire wear. Braking can drift, and stability systems may react because angles are out of spec. In severe cases, the wheel can wanderβ€”serious safety risk ⚠️. Check for torn bushings, cracked joint boot, rust, or impact bends.

Technician tips βœ…

Torque bushing bolts at ride height, not in the air. Always replace the ball joint nut/cotter and marked bolts. After fitting, perform a full alignment. Inspect sway bar link and lower joint at the same time for best results .
