Right-Hand Steering Knuckle for Nissan 4x4
Keep your front-right wheel true with this RH steering knuckle, built for tough duty on classic Nissan body-on-frame 4x4s. It connects the wheel bearing/hub to the upper and lower ball joints, tie-rod end, and brake caliper mount, holding camber and caster so your truck tracks straight on-road and off-road. Reference: 40010VB200.
Why you need it
The knuckle is the core of the front suspension and steering. It carries vehicle weight through the bearing, provides a fixed mount for the caliper, and sets alignment angles. Off-road hits and rust can bend or crack it, throwing geometry out of spec.
How it works
Forged steel arms bolt to ball joints and the tie rod, while a machined bore seats the hub/bearing. The knuckle keeps the wheel plane stable as the suspension moves, translating steering input precisely and keeping brake disc centered in the caliper.
If it fails โ ๏ธ
Signs include steering pull, uneven tire wear, ABS light, brake rub, vibration, and clunks. A bent or cracked knuckle can destroy bearings, overheat brakes, and in extreme cases cause loss of control. Replace at once.
Pro install tips โ
- Use new cotter pins and torque ball joints/tie rod to spec.
- Press bearing/hub straightโno hammering.
- Clean sensor boss; set ABS gap correctly.
- Finish with a full wheel alignment.
