Oxygen Sensor (Lambda) for Hyundai & Kia

This direct-fit lambda probe keeps your engine in closed-loop control, helping the ECU fine‑tune the air‑fuel mix for smooth power, clean exhaust, and better fuel economy. It’s a must-have for reliable starts, stable idle, and long catalyst life.

Why you need it

The sensor feeds real-time oxygen data to the ECU. Correct fueling lowers emissions, saves petrol, and prevents the catalytic converter from overheating or melting due to rich mixtures.

How it works

A heated zirconia element compares oxygen in exhaust to outside air and generates a switching voltage (about 0.1–0.9V). The ECU reads this signal and trims fuel instantly. The built-in heater brings the sensor to temp fast for accurate readings after start.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Check Engine light, high fuel use, rough idle, sluggish response, fuel smell, and failed emissions. Long term, a bad signal can damage the catalyst. Common fault codes include P0130–P0161.

Install notes

Direct connector, OEM-length lead. Use anti-seize on threads (avoid tip), tighten to spec, route harness away from heat, clear codes, and road test.
