Front Oxygen Sensor for Hyundai/Kia Vans ⚙️

This front oxygen (lambda) sensor keeps your engine efficient and clean. Mounted before the catalytic converter, it sends live exhaust oxygen data to the ECU for precise fuel control. OE ref: 39210-2C100. Direct-fit thread and connector, heated element for rapid warm-up.

Why this part is needed

It enables closed-loop fueling, stabilizes idle, cuts fuel consumption, and protects the catalyst. With accurate feedback, the ECU maintains the ideal air–fuel ratio, reducing emissions and improving drivability.

How it works

A heated zirconia cell compares exhaust to ambient air and generates a small voltage (≈0.1–0.9 V). The ECU reads this fast-switching signal and trims injector pulse width in real time. The internal heater brings the tip to operating temperature quickly for stable readings after cold start.

What happens if it fails

  • Check Engine light (common: P0130–P0161)
  • High fuel use, rough idle, weak acceleration
  • Rich/lean smell, black tailpipe, failed emissions
  • Premature catalytic converter damage

Tech install tips ✅

Install on a cool exhaust, use oxygen-safe anti-seize on threads, don’t twist the harness, fix any exhaust leaks first, clear fuel trims, and perform a short relearn drive. Use the correct calibrated sensor—no wire splicing.
