Premium Upstream Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor for Hyundai/Kia ?

Why you need it

This sensor measures oxygen in the exhaust so the ECU can keep the air‑fuel mix near 14.7:1. With correct feedback, the engine runs smooth, fuel economy stays high, and emissions stay low. It also protects the catalytic converter from rich or lean burn. Ideal when fuel use rises, idle gets rough, or inspection fails.

How it works

A heated zirconia cell sits in the exhaust stream. As oxygen level changes, it outputs about 0.1–0.9 V. The ECU reads this fast signal and trims fuel in closed loop. The built‑in heater brings the sensor up to temp quickly for stable control after cold start. Rugged stainless body and sealed connector ensure long life.

If it fails ?

Expect higher fuel consumption, weak throttle response, sulfur smell, black tailpipe, and a Check Engine Light (typical codes P0130–P0135, P2195). Prolonged use can overheat or clog the catalytic converter, leading to costly repairs.

Fitting tips

Install on a cold exhaust. Use the pre‑applied anti‑seize, avoid contamination, torque to spec, route the loom away from heat, then clear codes and perform a short drive cycle.
