Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor for Hyundai & Kia

This precision engine speed sensor is essential for clean starts, smooth idle, and efficient fuel burn. The engine control unit (ECU) needs exact crank angle and RPM data to time ignition and injection. Without this signal, the ECU is β€œblind,” and the engine can struggle or stop. Built to OEM standards, it delivers stable output in heat, vibration, and oil mist.

How it works

Mounted close to a toothed reluctor on the crankshaft, the sensor reads passing teeth and creates a pulse train. The ECU converts these pulses into crank position and speed, aligning spark and fuel to each cylinder. Proper air gap, clean connector, and tight mounting keep the waveform accurate. Its sealed body and heat‑resistant epoxy protect the coil and electronics for long life.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Typical symptoms: long or no start (hot or cold), random stalling, misfire, weak acceleration, rough idle, high fuel use, tachometer dropouts, and check‑engine codes like P0335–P0339. In many cases, the engine will crank but not fire. Replace if you see cracked housing, oil intrusion, or damaged wiring. Installation is plug‑and‑play; clear codes after fitting.
