Front Oxygen Sensor for Hyundai & Kia ?๏ธ

This front O2 sensor is a key feedback part in the exhaust system. It is needed to help the ECU (engine computer) keep the air/fuel mix correct for smooth power, low fuel use, and clean emissions. When the engine warms up, the sensor quickly starts โ€œreadingโ€ oxygen level in the exhaust gases and sends a fast-changing signal to the ECU.

How It Works โš™๏ธ

The sensor sits in the exhaust stream before the main catalyst. Inside is a heated element that reaches operating temperature fast. As oxygen content changes, the sensor voltage/resistance changes too. The ECU uses this data to fine-tune injector pulse, correct fuel trims, and protect the catalytic converter from running too rich or too lean.

What Happens If Itโ€™s Broken โŒ

A failed sensor can cause the check engine light, rough idle, hesitation, higher fuel consumption, fuel smell, and poor emissions test results. Long-term driving with wrong readings may overheat or clog the catalyst, leading to expensive repairs.
