    It holds the brake rotor and wheel firmly, keeps alignment true, and maintains ABS signal accuracy. A healthy hub means smooth steering, even tire wear, and safe braking.

    How it works ⚙️

    The sealed bearing inside the hub carries radial and axial loads. The hub bolts to the knuckle; the CV axle or spindle passes through. Wheel studs secure the rim. Many versions include an ABS tone ring that the sensor reads for traction and braking control.

    What happens if it fails ⚠️

    Expect humming or growling with speed, steering vibration, ABS light, uneven brake wear, and wheel play. Severe failure can overheat, damage the knuckle, and even lead to wheel separation. Replace promptly and torque the axle nut to spec.
