Why This Differential Gear Pinion Is Essential 🚗

Every Subaru’s drivetrain relies on an efficient transfer of power to the wheels. The differential's bevel pinion is a critical part of this process. It works by turning rotation from the driveshaft into a 90-degree motion, carried to the wheels through the differential. Smooth, quiet operation and responsive handling all depend on the pinion working in harmony with ring gears and other diff components.

How It Works

This precision-machined pinion meshes with the differential ring gear. As the driveshaft spins, it rotates the pinion. This, in turn, causes the ring gear—and thus the axles and wheels—to turn. The bevel design allows for efficient energy transfer with minimal friction, even during high-torque driving.
