    The front CV boot is a flexible seal that protects the constant‑velocity joints on the drive shaft. It keeps grease in and blocks water, mud, and dust. If you drive in rain, sand, or off‑road, this boot is vital for joint life, smooth steering, and quiet running. Replacing a worn boot early saves the CV joint and avoids buying a complete axle later.

    How it works ⚙️

    This CV boot kit uses a tough, grease‑resistant elastomer boot, stainless clamp bands, and high‑moly grease. The boot flexes with suspension travel and steering angle, maintaining a sealed barrier while the shaft spins. Packed grease lubricates the bearings and cage, reducing heat and wear so the front axle runs smooth at any lock.

    What happens if it’s broken ❗

    If the boot cracks or a clamp loosens, grease sprays out and grit gets in. Soon you’ll notice clicking on turns, vibration under load, burned grease odor, and splatter near the wheel. Driving like this pits the bearings, leading to joint seizure and axle failure. Replace at first signs of leaks, torn ribs, or dry, shiny joints.
