Rear Right Parking Brake Cable for Nissan 4x4

Why you need it
Off-road use, mud, salt, and age stretch the inner wire and crack the sheath. That adds slack and corrosion, so the lever travels too far, the mechanism sticks, and the wheel won’t lock reliably on hills.
How it works
Pulling the lever moves a steel strand inside a sealed housing. Force reaches the actuator at the right-rear hub, where shoes or pads clamp the drum/rotor. Return springs release the clamp when the lever is lowered, keeping free rotation while driving.
If it’s damaged
Expect weak hill hold, uneven left-right parking force, dragging brake, hot smell, poor fuel economy, and premature shoe/pad wear. If it snaps, the vehicle can roll; if it seizes, the wheel overheats and the drum/rotor can warp.
Tech notes
Route like OEM, secure every clip, and adjust free play after install. Do not grease the lining; lube pivots only. For balance, replace both rear cables together and torque brackets to spec. ✅
