This CVT fluid sump is a direct-fit, OE-spec unit that seals the bottom of the transaxle, stores the working fluid, and aids cooling. Built with a rigid shell, flat sealing rail, and service ports, it keeps your belt-and-pulley CVT protected and leak-free for smooth, efficient driving.
Why you need it
The pan holds CVT fluid, directs flow to the pickup, and captures metal dust with built-in magnets. A healthy pan prevents leaks, stabilizes temperatures, and ensures consistent hydraulic pressure for precise ratio control.
How it works βοΈ
Bolted to the case with a gasket or RTV, it creates a sealed reservoir. Fluid circulates through the valve body and cooler; magnets inside trap wear particles. A drain port (where fitted) allows clean service without mess.
If itβs damaged or leaking β οΈ
You may see spots under the car, shudder, flare, or βwhine,β overheating, limp mode, or warning lights. Low fluid leads to belt slip, bearing wear, and rapid CVT failure. Replace at once if warped, corroded, or stripped.
Tech notes
Inspect magnets, replace gasket/sealant, torque bolts in sequence, and refill with the correct CVT fluid to the specified level and temperature.
