    Why you need it

    This complete shifter unit restores precise, safe gear selection. Over time, bushings, detents, and the position switch wear out, causing sloppy lever feel, mis-shifts, and PRND display errors. Replacing the whole assembly brings back factory accuracy, smooth movement, and reliable start/backup logic—perfect for daily use and performance driving .

    How it works ️

    The lever pivots on low-friction bushings and moves through a gated plate. A detent spring sets positive “clicks” for each range. The lockout solenoid stops accidental shifts from Park. An integrated range/position sensor sends signals to the ECU/TCM and reverse lights. The cable bracket converts lever travel into motion at the transmission selector shaft.

    What happens if it’s broken

    Symptoms include hard engagement, no-start in Park/Neutral, wrong gear indicator, stuck key, intermittent reverse lamps, or a lever that won’t lock. Excess play can stretch the cable and stress the transmission. In extreme cases, Park may not fully hold—risking vehicle roll.
