Why this part is needed ⚙️
During a shift, gear and collar spin at different speeds. The synchro ring uses a friction cone to match those speeds before the teeth lock together. Without it, shifts become slow, noisy, and hard on components.
How it works
The ring’s tapered face grips the gear cone, equalizes RPM, then the baulk teeth align the dog teeth so the sleeve slides in. Precision machining and a bronze alloy provide stable friction, heat control, and long life.
