This small but vital seal keeps gear oil inside the transfer case and dirt out. The transfer case relies on stable oil level to cool and lubricate. A worn lip or groove on the yoke lets oil weep. Replacing the seal restores proper pressure and keeps the underside clean from mist and drips.
How it works
A spring-loaded nitrile/fluoroelastomer lip hugs the rotating output shaft yoke. The garter spring maintains even contact, while dust ribs block debris. Correct orientation (spring side toward oil) and a smooth yoke surface ensure a tight, long-lasting seal.
