Rear Output Shaft Oil Seal for Manual Gearbox
This precision seal protects your manual transmission by keeping gear oil in and dirt out. Mounted in the tail housing, it hugs the driveshaft yoke where the shaft exits the gearbox. A healthy seal means smooth shifts, quiet running, and a clean underbody — perfect for hardworking Mitsubishi pickups and SUVs.
Why it’s needed ️
It maintains correct oil level for bearings and gears, prevents dust and mud intrusion, and stops fling-off oil from coating the prop shaft and exhaust. Without it, lubrication drops and heat rises.
How it works
A spring-loaded elastomer lip rides the yoke surface, forming a dynamic oil barrier. A secondary dust lip blocks debris. Micro ribs return oil inward as the shaft spins, while the metal case locks squarely into the housing for long service life.
