    Main Transmission Shaft Assembly for Nissan Gearbox ⚙️

    This main shaft assembly is the core rotating shaft inside the manual transmission. It is needed to carry engine torque from the input side through the gear set, keeping gear engagement stable under load. When you rebuild a gearbox or fix noisy gears, worn splines, or jumping out of gear, replacing this shaft restores correct alignment and strength.

    How it works

    The shaft supports multiple gears and synchronizer hubs, spinning on precision bearings. As you shift, the synchro locks the selected gear to the shaft, sending power onward to the transfer/output system. Correct shaft straightness and surface hardness reduce vibration, heat, and gear wear.

    What happens if it’s damaged ❌

    A bent or scored shaft can cause bearing noise, rough shifting, metal shavings in oil, and premature synchro failure. In severe cases it may strip splines, crack, or seize, leading to loss of drive and expensive transmission damage.
