Rear Final Drive Assembly for Nissan Light Commercials ⚙️
Keep your van or light truck moving with a robust rear differential assembly. This unit restores smooth, quiet torque delivery to the back wheels, ensuring confident launches, safe cornering, and long tire life. It’s a direct-fit OEM-grade solution designed for tough daily use—deliveries, people transport, and construction runs .
How it works
Power from the driveshaft spins a pinion gear that turns the ring gear inside the carrier. Spider gears let left and right wheels rotate at different speeds in a turn, preventing scrub and axle wind-up. Precision-set bearings, preload, and backlash keep the mesh accurate, while gear oil cools and protects the gears for thousands of kilometers.
Why you need it
A healthy differential gives stable traction, reduced noise, and correct tire wear. It also protects the gearbox and driveshaft by absorbing shock loads and distributing torque evenly across the rear axle.
What happens when it fails
Whine on throttle, clunks on take-off, vibration, metal flakes in oil, or leaks mean trouble. Continued driving can overheat the unit, destroy bearings and teeth, cause wheel hop, sudden loss of drive, or even a locked axle—risking tires, propshaft, and safety.
Install & care tips ️
Bolt-in fitment with new seals, correct preload/backlash, and fresh GL-5 gear oil filled to level. After install, perform a gentle break-in and recheck for seepage and noise.
