This sensor is a small but critical guardian of your engine’s lubrication system. It is needed to monitor oil pressure and send a signal to the dashboard warning light or ECU. Proper oil pressure means the crankshaft, camshafts, and turbo (if fitted) stay protected by a stable oil film.
How It Works ⚙️
Inside the unit is a pressure-sensitive element that changes its electrical output as oil pressure rises or drops. The car reads this signal in real time. If pressure falls below a safe limit, the system alerts the driver instantly, giving you a chance to shut down before damage spreads.
