How it works
Mounted in the pan on the suction side, the mesh pickup filters fluid as the pump draws ATF from the sump. The screen balances flow with filtration, preventing cavitation and catching wear particles. A molded seal keeps the pickup submerged and air‑tight for stable line pressure.
When it fails
When the screen tears, plugs, or the O‑ring hardens you get delayed engagement, flare/harsh shifts, slipping on upshifts, pump whine, overheating, and even limp mode ⚠️.
