OEM Hydraulic Clutch Control Cylinder for Toyota βοΈ
This replacement unit restores firm pedal feel and smooth shifting in manual Toyota models. Also called the clutch master cylinder, this assembly converts your foot force into hydraulic pressure so the release fork disengages the disc cleanly. Install it when you notice hard shifts, a sinking pedal, or brake fluid loss.
Why you need it β
Stable hydraulic pressure prevents gear grind and clutch drag, keeps the bite point consistent, reduces driver fatigue in traffic, and protects transmission synchros. A fresh cylinder can extend overall clutch lifespan and improve everyday drivability.
How it works
Press the pedal and a piston slides in a precision bore. Sealing cups build pressure in DOT 3/4 fluid, sending force through the line to the slave cylinder. When you release, a return spring and reservoir port let fluid return and purge bubbles. The body is cast alloy/steel with oilβresistant seals for long service.
When it fails β οΈ
Spongy or sinking pedal, hard first/reverse, low or wandering bite point, grinding during shifts, or wet streaks on the firewall mean internal leaks or worn cups. Left unchecked, air intrusion overheats synchros and can leave you stranded.
Fitment & tips
Match by VIN for exact fit. Benchβbleed before install, torque to spec, use fresh fluid, and bleed the line fully. Inspect and replace cracked hoses. After service, roadβtest, confirm engagement, and recheck for leaks .
