This OEM-spec hydraulic unit restores smooth, precise gear changes by converting pedal force into line pressure for the slave cylinder. A precision-honed bore, corrosion-resistant body, and high-temp EPDM seals deliver firm pedal feel, stable bite point, and long service life.
Why you need it β
Age, moisture, and contaminated fluid wear seals and pit the bore. Replacing the master cylinder prevents spongy pedal, clutch drag at lights, hard shifts, and protects transmission synchronizers from abuse.
How it works π§
Pressing the pedal moves a pushrod that drives a piston inside the cylinder. This builds hydraulic pressure in the line, moving the slave to disengage the clutch. A compensation port refills the chamber on release, while a check path maintains consistent pressure. A dust boot shields the rod; a circlip secures the piston set.

Install tips & care π§°
Bench-bleed before fitting, use fresh DOT 3/4 fluid, torque evenly, then bleed until clear and bubble-free. Set pedal free play 1β3 mm and recheck after a short drive.
