How it works π οΈ
Driven by the input shaft, a gerotor pulls ATF through the pickup and sends it to the pressure regulator and valve body. It maintains set line pressure across idle and load, cooling and lubricating all moving parts.

Signs include delayed or harsh shifts, whining noise, AT temp light, burn smell, metal debris, and loss of drive. Continued use can burn clutches, score the pump, and damage the converter.
