Why this part is needed
It transmits pedal force to the pressure plate while allowing rotation. Without a healthy bearing, the clutch drags, gears grind, and heat builds up, shortening the service life of the whole clutch system.
How it works
A sealed radial bearing on a carrier slides along the gearbox guide tube. When you press the pedal, the face contacts the diaphragm spring and spins freely, cutting friction and noise. Hardened races, high‑temp grease, and tight clearances keep engagement crisp and consistent.
What happens if it’s broken
Typical signs: chirp/whine when pressing the pedal, vibration, hard or notchy shifting, and clutch drag. If it seizes, it can overheat the pressure plate, warp the disc, wear the input shaft sleeve, damage the release fork, and may leave you stranded.
Pro install tips 🛠️
Replace together with clutch kit. Lightly lube the guide tube (not the contact face). Check fork pivot and spring clip. Align disc, set free play, and bed in gently for 300–500 km.
